Hope you found the information in my last article about treating acne with tomatoes beneficial. It's really an amazing little fruit/vegetable.
But, no one treatment works for everyone. The next few posts will share what others have found successful in the treatment of their own pimples.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea Tree Oil comes from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree in Australia. It contains bacteria-fighting substances called Terpenes which many people swear by for treating acne.
Terpenes are known to weaken or kill bacteria, so even if it's not your choice for acne treatment, this is something to keep in mind. Tea Tree Oil won't cure acne, but it will kill the bacteria associated with it, thus reducing the symptoms.
How to use Tree Tea Oil
Tea Tree oil can be irritating to the skin if used straight. You'll want to dilute it first. Add a drop or two to a half cup of water or mix with some cool, soothing pure aloe vera gel. Use a clean, sterile cotton ball to dab on pimples. Try it in just a small area the first time to see how your skin reacts.
Disclaimer: I'm not a health care professional. Use Tea Tree Oil at your own risk and don't forget to dilute it first.
